Came to Mozambique to lead a structural study project for social urbanism, having been Country Manager of the multinational Regus. Currently in the Mozambique Real Estate project that works across the market with a real estate portal, a top real estate magazine and a consulting investment firm. He has developed a career in management and media marketing, in the Bertlesman and Media Capital groups.
He was born in 1965 in the district of Viseu and graduated in Economics from ISG.
António Carvalho Pinheiro holds a Degree in architecture from the Porto Superior School of Art and a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning from the Univerisity Lusófona of Porto. Born in Guimarães in May of 1970. He has been living in Beira since 2010, where he founded Atelier Traço Urbano, dedicating his activity to Project & Building Management in various projects of Hotel´s, housing and services. In 2013 opens a branch office of the Atelier in the city of Pemba.

In Mozambique, acted as a legal consultant for the Energy Sector subcontractors. In the real estate market, acted as the General Manager of Pam Golding Properties Mozambique, having, later, occupied the position of Area Director in Regus. Now, currently working in Moçambique Real Estate project with current focus on real estate Investment.
Paulo de Sousa currently serves as the Chairman of the Executive Committee at BCI. He is a staff member of the Group Caixa Geral de Depósitos, the leading Bank of the Portuguese Financial System. Paulo holds a Post-Graduate degree in Bank Management (advanced course), Universidade Católica Portuguesa / Instituto Superior de Formação Bancária; Post-Graduate degree in International Marketing, Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão – ISEG, Lisbon and a Degree in Business Management, Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão – ISEG, Lisbon. Paulo also serves as the Member of the Board of Directors of Interbancos, as well as President of the Board Management of IMOBCI, a Real Estate Company of BCI Group
Manuel Vieira is the chairman of Meridian32 company group, based in Mozambique. Meridian 32 is a services-focused group, including facilities management, property advisory, IT and telecom consulting, environmental impact assessments and technical training. Manuel has been a serial entrepreneur for the past 20 years, mostly in Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Portugal. On his previous life he was a senior manager at Ernst & Young (auditing) and KPMG (consulting), the Financial Manager for Pestana Hotel Group in Southern Africa and special consultant to the Board of Petromoc.
Manuel has a UNISA B-Compt Financial Accounting Degree.
Fáusio Mussá is currently the Chief Economist for Mozambique at Standard Bank. He is he is responsible for economic research for Mozambique and Angola. He holds a post graduate in business administration and honors degree in economics. He was an Exco member for Standard Bank in Mozambique when he was leading the Bank´s credit division. Before moving to credit, he helped setting up and managing a transactional banking and services unit for the corporate banking offering in Mozambique. From 2005 to 2007 he was the head of investment banking division in Mozambique. Prior to joining Standard Bank, he worked two years in the markets division of the Mozambican central bank as an economist.
Pedro Couto is currently Chairman of Couto, Graça e Associados (CGA) and is in charge of Department of Energy, Natural Resources and Infrastructure. He graduated in Law at the University of Eduardo Mondlane, post-graduated in Corporate Law at the University of Lisbon and post-graduated in Project Finance Structure at the University of Cape Town. With 24 years of experience, as General Counsel of private companies, State organizations and corporations throughout Mozambique, is involved in initiatives such as BOT, BOOT, restructuring of companies, foreign investment, financing, privatization and public procurement.
Christiaan joined RLB Pentad in 2014 and has 9 years of experience working in the quantity surveying and property development profession. Prior to joining RLB Pentad, he gained experience working for several recognised players in the quantity surveying profession and in real estate development.
His areas of expertise include commercial, industrial, retail, leisure, residential and mixed-use developments.
Christiaan is in charge of expanding RLB Pentad into Africa and has specific expertise in African cost consultancy.
He holds a BSc (Quantity Surveying) Honours degree and is registered with the South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Association of South African Quantity Surveyors.
Nuno Sá Fialho is currently the Commercial Director at Broll Property Group, Mozambique. Prior to joining Broll, he was a Partner & CEO at Promobásica Gestão Imobiliária Lda; Partner & CEO Profield Consultants Ltd; Marketing Director at Império Bonança, SA; Market Manager at The Coca Cola Company (Portugal) and an Assistant Director of Banco Finantia, SA. Nuno is an expert Business Development Manager specializing in Real Estate project management and strategy. He has over 15 years of experience in Venture Capital. He holds an MBA from The University of Michigan, Ann Arbour and a Licentiate Agricultural Engineering from U. Técnica de Lisboa, Portugal.
Adrian Frey is the Chairman of Beluluane Industrial Park – Mozambique’s largest industrial park and free-trade zone. Beluluane Industrial Park is a Public-Private Partnership with the aim to support investors with the necessary infrastructure and value-added services to successfully conduct business in Mozambique. The park currently has 35 companies from 15 different countries, supporting a workforce of over 5,000 employees. Adrian was born in Switzerland and holds a Law Degree from the University of Zürich. He is currently serving as the president of the Mozambican-Swiss Chamber of Commerce. Adrian is also a board member of the European Business Club.
A graduate of Kingston University, London, Greg Pearson studied Business Management and Project Management and is registered with the chartered Management Institute. His experience includes development management, cost planning, procurement, time management and traditional project management of major engineering and building projects. His market sector Knowledge includes office, retail, leisure, education and healthcare schemes and he has experience in over 40 African countries. Greg was formerly an executive with AECOM, a global provider of design, development and engineering and construction services, and had the responsibility of expanding the footprint for the “Rest of Africa” business 2006.
João is the Development Manager at Hodari Mozambique. He holds a Degree of Architecture and Urban Management and a Masters in Real Estate Development from some faculty. After becoming Director of Advisory and Valuations in CPU Consultants, one of the largest Portuguese consultancy companies, in 2010 João completed a second Masters in Real Estate Management and Valuations from the University of Economics and Management of Lisbon. João is also a registered Chartered Surveyors with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). As Director in CPU João worked with Angola, Cap Vert and Mozambique. In 2011 João moved to Maputo to start REC, a consultancy company in Mozambique that provides valuations, market and feasibility studies.
Vicus Bouwer looks after retail developments in Sub-Saharan Africa with the scope of his work involving finding tenants, securing of new retail projects in new and existing locations, budgets and management of staff. He was involved in the leasing of West Hills Mall and the Junction in Ghana which opened in 2014. Vicus is currently leasing retail projects in Angola, Ghana, Mozambique and Zambia. Vicus has accumulated many years of experience in the retail operational sector, having spent time with the likes of Mr. Price and Topics in their internal real estate departments.
Bernardo Simões was recently appointed as the Managing Director of Zambujo & Associados, an asset valuation and property advisory firm, the oldest one established in Mozambique. In his 20 years of professional experience Bernardo has worked as an IT project manager and as a property, finance and strategy advisor, for companies such as Alcatel, Vodafone, KPMG and Accenture, in Poland, Portugal and Mozambique.
Bernardo has an MBA from Universidade Nova de Lisboa and a BsC in Computer Science from Instituto Superior Técnico, the leading Portuguese universities in their respective areas.
Aly Faruque currently leads Real Estate Asset Managers, Innovative, one of the most recent private initiatives in Mozambique, with the focus to provide integrated Real Estate management and consulting services to Investors, Developers and Institutions. Innovative is currently managing a Portfolio of assets valued at USD 20M and is also assessing investment opportunities in the convenience Retail and affordable Housing space.
Prior to joining Innovative Asset Management, Aly was with CR Holdings for over 8 years during which he assisted the development and managed a portfolio of more than USD 100M that included the Park Inn By Radisson (Tete), the Sol and Rio Housing Condominium (Tete), the Zimpeto Square (Maputo), the Millennium Park Office building (Maputo) and the masterplan definition of the Constellation mixed use development in downtown Maputo, the largest real estate scheme considered for Maputo.
He is currently attending the MBA program from the Graduate School of Business at the University of Cape Town, continuing his lifelong learning studies after successfully completing a serious of academic degrees and executive education programs at leading education Institutes such as the Harvard Business School, Cornell and the Catholic Business School of Lisbon.
In addition, Aly also serves in a volunteer capacity at the Board of the Council for the Ismaili Community in Mozambique.
José Castilho is the MP of Broll in Mozambique. Prior to this role he was with RANI Investment as the Commercial Operations Manager. In Maputo Rani developed the iconic and integrated business tourism and real estate project, Rani Towers, comprising the Radisson Blu hotel, residential, offices, conference centre and retail uses. José formerly lead Real Estate Consulting, in Maputo, as General Manager. For the last 20 years José acted as business manager in lines of business related to consultancy, services and technology. As Head of Technology, for a private and investment bank in Portugal; General Manager for a Technology Company in Mozambique. José studied Computer Science in IST Portugal, and Business Management in UCP in Portugal.
Alexis Janoray is the VP in charge of Sub Saharan Africa development at Accor Hotels, a position he has held since 2016. Alexis has more than 10 years of experience as a banking specialist in structured and acquisition financing. He has spent the last five years at Proparco, the French private sector development bank, where he originated, structured and closed numerous transactions in Africa and in the hospitality sector in particular. Alexis is a graduate from Paris Dauphine University and holds a master in corporate finance from EM Lyon business School.
Nelson Rêgo is the Chairman of Prime Yield. He has a background of considerable experience in the real estate valuation area for mortgage credit purposes and Real Estate Investment Funds, as well as in the area of property development consultancy. He became a member of RICS in 2007 and Recognized European Valuer by Tegova in 2017. Prior to being the Chairman, he was the CEO of Prime Yield MZ in Mozambique, a consultant in property valuations with banks BCI, ICB, Standard Bank, Capital Bank, Banco Único, Ecobank and Millennium bim. He holds a Degree in Real Estate Management, Mphill in Property Development, University of Salford, Post-Graduate in Company Management, Post-Graduate in Real Estate Development, Member of RICS and REV
Julien Garcier is the Founder and Managing Director of Sagaci Research, the leading independent market research / market intelligence firm dedicated to African markets. Prior to launching Sagaci Research in 2012, Julien was a Principal at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) where he was involved on growing the firm activity across the African continent, advising governments and leading multinational companies in their developments efforts. Between 2000 and 2005, Julien was a consultant at A.T. Kearney in France. Julien has deep industry expertise in retail, consumer goods, real-estate and specific functional expertise in corporate strategy, market entry strategies, growth strategy formulation, financial and economic analysis and market research. Julien graduated from EM Lyon (France) in 2000 with a Master in Science in Management and has an undergraduate diploma in Economics from the University of Lyon (France). He is a French national and lives in Nairobi, Kenya.
Over the last 8 year Pedro has moved to Africa where he lived in Angola, South Africa and Mozambique and played several leading and investment roles in different industries but with special focus in Real Estate; Energy and related Infrastructure.
Pedro spent a number of years with Espírito Santo Group in Espírito Santo Tourism as General Manager of the Tourism Golf division overseeing an integrated platform for Golf courses, including new investments, courses under construction and operations.
With ESCOM Group he has lived 2 years in Angola 4 in South Africa, leading the Business Development and Investments of the ESCOM Group in South Africa and Mozambique through the incorporation of Networx, a company focused in Energy and Related Infrastructure with specific focus in Renewable Energy.
As CEO of Networx led the incorporation of Networx Renewables, a Project Development company with an asset pipeline of Wind and Solar Projects of 2,000 MW for the REIPP Program in South Africa.
From 2012 and living in Maputo, Mozambique he is the Managing Partner at Eaglestone responsible for Mozambique where he manages the Advisory business and the Private Equity by leading the development of several Real Estate, Energy and Related Infrastructure projects.
Pedro started working early while he was starting his Engineering studies, in Lisbon, Portugal, where he was born and spent most of his life.
Erwan is currently the Director of Business Development for the Sub-Saharan region at The Radisson Hotel Group. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Hotel Management School of Paris and a MBA in International Hospitality Management, AACSB-EQUIS accredited from Cornell University and ESSEC Group – IMHI. Erwan’s hospitality experience includes the launch and management of his own consulting firm, Mise en Place. Prior to that, Erwan worked for Hilton Worldwide as a Director Brand Performance Support in London, UK. Before that he worked for the Accor Group as General Manager of the Red Roof San Francisco. Erwan also held the position of Assistant General Manager for the Jurysdoyle Hotel Group in Dublin.
Born in 1966, a Civil Engineer from Politecnico of Milan, started his career in Coopsette s.ca.r.l serving as project manager for several infrastructural projects. Subsequently he moved to leading Italian property developer where he served as Technical Director for large, multidisciplinary and complex projects. He joined the Realestate Group in 2011 becoming firstly the General Manager for Nigeria and subsequently the Group’s Chief Operating Officer – Construction. Currently he is also serving as General Manager for Mozambique.
Nuno Tavares is a Partner and General Manager at REC. With a bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate Management from ESAI (Escola Superior de Actividades Imobiliárias) in 2002, Nuno has started his career as valuer at CPU Consultores, one of the biggest valuation companies in Portugal, where he has worked from 2004 till 2013.
In 2011 Nuno concluded a Masters in Real Estate Management and Valuations at ISEG – Lisbon School of Economics and Management, allowing Nuno join the RICS as a Member.
In 2013 Nuno joined the REC team, having taken leadership of the company as General Manager in 2015.
Geri Wessels gained valuable experience by conducting market research in sub-Saharan Africa as a hospitality analyst. She joined Hilton in June 2013 as part of the development team to assist in realizing the growing number of opportunities on the African continent. Geri is responsible for securing exciting new projects in the SADC region. Prior to her return to South Africa, Geri was based in the United Arab Emirates for five years, focusing on development in the Middle East and North Africa hotel markets.
Miguel is currently the Executive Director of JAT Constroi. He is an enthusiastic believer that the success of any organization is dependent on a strong culture, inspired people living it 24 hours a day, modern and client orientated platforms, simple and efficient internal processes and workflows, clear communication and permanent risk evaluation. Miguel developed an extensive career In the Banking sector, at a very Senior and Executive level and later helping to found and operating Banco Unico, now a part of Nedbank. Recently, he joined the largest real estate developer in Mozambique, JAT Constroi, where he leads the group for the next decade.
Pedro Pinto is CEO and Partner at African Century Real Estate, a pioneer investor in both Pemba and Palma, offering a wide range of property solutions especially tailored to the O&G sector, from Hotel and Serviced Apartments, Serviced Offices and Business Centers, Logistic and Industrial Parks and Facility Management. Formerly founded and managed his own business in the food and beverages services sector and was country manager for CDC Group plc, with responsibility for over US$100m of investments in Mozambique, including in the Real Estate sector. Pedro also worked in the financial services with BBVA and ABN AMRO in Europe, for 8 years, in a variety of management positions.
Dado Gulamhussen is a Board Member of the VIP Hotels Group, a hotel group with 39 years of experience and in operation in Portugal and Mozambique. Graduated in Business Management and Tourism Administration from Bangalore University. Dado accumulates vast experience in the real state area in Mozambique by leading the operations of MBIG – Mozambique Business Investment Group linked to consulting and investments. In addition to executive functions in the tourism sector of the Confederation of Economic Associations of Mozambique (CTA) and the National Business Council (CEN – CTA), he also serves as Chief Operating Officer for the VIP HOTELS Group in Mozambique.
