Legal counsel to lenders, sellers, suppliers, contractors or investors of most relevant investment projects made in Mozambique since 1996, providing advice to foreign and national investment projects (including legal setup of greenfield infrastructure projects), project finance (including local review of LMA and other international contracts), M&A, privatizations and concessions, procurement (including local review of FIDIC and similar EPC contracts), governance and corporate legal restructures, and risk assessment reviews in areas such as mining, banking, transports and communications, food and beverages, oil & gas, energy, real estate, industrial plants, tourism. Extensive experience and skills in review of international contracts and adaptation to Mozambican legal standards, including international finance documents, acquisition of goods and services, company secretary Draft or review, in Portuguese and English, of contracts in general, due diligence reports, legal opinions and questionnaires, labour related documents, company secretary, procurement related documents, internal procedures and regulations, analysis of impact of legislative changes Experience as both external consultant or in-house counsel, management of teams, participation in internal corporate committees and task forces (procurement, disciplinary, board and shareholders meetings, risk and credit), legal training, legal translations Registered lawyer at the Mozambican Law Society
